Recent findings illuminate research in diabetes therapy

Investigators in France, Japan and the United Kingdom have published new diabetes therapy data. Study 1: 'Glucose control-related' and 'nonglucose control-related' effects on weight gain are observed in newly insulin-treated type 2 diabetic patients. According to recent research from France, "Insulin use is common in type 2 diabetes and is frequently accompanied by weight gain, the composition of which is poorly understood.
