Ruboxistaurin offers addition to established diabetic nephropathy treatments

Ruboxistaurin may be a beneficial addition to established nephropathy treatments in type 2 diabetes. According to recent research published in the journal Diabetes Care, "Ruboxistaurin selectively inhibits protein kinase C-beta and ameliorates kidney disease in animal models of diabetes. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of ruboxistaurin on diabetic nephropathy in humans." K.R.
