According to recent research from Japan, diabetes is linked with the development and progression of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). "This study compared the liver histology of patients with NASH and patients with alcoholic steatohepatitis (ASH)," wrote Y. Morita and colleagues, Nagata Hospital.
