Study 1: Adipokine expression profile in adipocytes increases with obesity and hyperinsulinemia in mouse model.
"Adipose tissue produces and secretes multiple adipokines. Most studies on adipokine production/expression have been performed on whole adipose tissue. In addition, data concerning an overall of adipokine expression are scarce and can be heterogeneous depending on the obesity model studied," scientists writing in the journal Hormone and Metabolic Research report.
