"Being obese in childhood may be associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in adulthood. We examined the relationship between obesity and overweight identified in youth and carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT) assessed in adulthood," scientists writing in the journal Atherosclerosis report.
