Study findings from Florida State University, College of Medicine broaden understanding of obesity

Research findings, "Mobile health unit for minority obesity education: local residents' attitudes and perceptions," are discussed in a new report. In this recent article published in the Journal of the National Medical Association, scientists in the United States conducted a study "To provide educational material to the Bronx community in their places of recreation as well as uncover attitudes and perceptions about the obesity epidemic. Our medical team equipped a mobile health unit, called Vehicle Assisted Nutrition (VAN), with educational material and drove it to seven recreation sites in the Bronx."
