Studies conducted in Belgium, Brazil and Canada have updated our knowledge about obesity.

Study 1: A report, "Defective hepatic regeneration after partial hepatectomy in leptin-deficient mice is not rescued by exogenous leptin," is newly published data in Laboratory Investigation. "Liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy (PH) is impaired in leptin-deficient ob/ob mice.
