New diabetes study results reported from Kyoto University, Japan

Diabetes study results from Kyoto University, Japan, were highlighted recently in medical journals.

Study 1: A report, "The spontaneously diabetic Torii rat with gastroenteropathy," is newly published data in Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice. "The spontaneously diabetic Torii (SDT) rat was recently recognized as a new animal model of non-obese type 2 diabetes. As the severe diabetic ocular complications seen in SDT rats already have been investigated, we examined another common diabetic complication, gastroenteropathy," researchers in Kyoto, Japan report.
