Investigators at Center for Diabetes zero in on obesity and diabetes risk factors

New investigation results, "Prevalence of diabetes in Pakistan," are detailed in a study published in Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice. "The prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) and the contributing risk factors were estimated by performing a cross-sectional survey conducted earlier in the rural and urban areas of all the four provinces of Pakistan. The statistical analysis was performed from the obtained results by using SPSS version 12.0," scientists in Karachi, Pakistan report.
