New obesity study findings have been reported by scientists at New York University

New investigation results, "Does obesity influence the outcome after the operative treatment of ankle fractures," are detailed in a study published in Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery - British Volume. According to recent research from the United States, "Many orthopaedic surgeons believe that obese patients have a higher rate of peri-operative complications and a worse functional outcome than non-obese patients. There is, however, inconsistency in the literature supporting this notion."
