Health Care Service Corporation Recognized for Innovative and Successful Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas Behavior Modification/Obesity Outreach Program

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) announced that it has received national recognition from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association for an innovative behavior modification/obesity outreach program developed by its Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan in Texas. The program has been successful in decreasing participant in-patient hospital admissions and emergency room visits, reducing health care costs per member per month, and increasing employee productivity.
