"Hypothalamic lactate metabolism lowers hepatic glucose production and plasma glucose levels in normal rodents. However, it remains unknown whether activation of hypothalamic lactate metabolism lowers glucose production and plasma glucose levels in rodents with diabetes and obesity," researchers in Toronto, Canada report.
