"- The objective of this study was to compare the results in terms of continence and quality of life between retropubic radical prostatectomy and laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, performed according to the same principle of retrograde dissection from the apex. - The series was composed of 120 patients undergoing retropubic radical prostatectomy and 131 patients undergoing laparoscopic radical prostatectomy performed in the Limoges hospital, urology and andrology department, between January 2002 and September 2005," scientists writing in the journal Progres en Urologie report.
