Study data from Heinrich-Heine University, German Diabetes Center update understanding of obesity and diabetes risk factors

New investigation results, 'Neuropathic pain in diabetes, prediabetes and normal glucose tolerance: the MONICA/KORA Augsburg Surveys S2 and S3,' are detailed in a study published in Pain Medicine. According to a study from Dusseldorf, Germany, "The prevalence of neuropathic pain in prediabetes and the associated risk factors in the general population are not known. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence and risk factors of neuropathic pain in subjects with diabetes, impaired fasting glucose (IFG), impaired glucose tolerance (IGT), or normal glucose tolerance (NGT)."
