Research data from Erasmus Medical Center update understanding of life sciences in children

Research findings, 'Abdominal fat in children measured by ultrasound and computed tomography,' are discussed in a new report. According to a study from Rotterdam, Netherlands, "The prevalence of childhood obesity is increasing rapidly. Visceral fat plays an important role in the pathogenesis of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases."
