New findings reported from Johns Hopkins University describe advances in obstructive sleep apnea

A report, 'Obstructive sleep apnea and dyslipidemia: implications for atherosclerosis,' is newly published data in Current Opinion In Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Obesity. "The aim of this review is to summarize current evidence about the impact of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and intermittent hypoxia on dyslipidemia and provide future perspectives in this area. Intermittent hypoxia, a hallmark of OSA, induces hyperlipidemia in lean mice," researchers in the United States report.
