Researchers from University of Maryland report details of new studies and findings in the area of bariatrics

"Obesity has reached epidemic levels in the United States, and bariatric surgery is becoming an increasingly prevalent intervention. Nurses play an integral role in the care of these patients before, during, and after surgery," scientists writing in the journal Bariatric Nursing and Surgical Patient Care report.
