Research from University of Oxford, Wellcome Trust Center for Human Genetics provide new insights into type 2 diabetes

New research, 'Global microRNA expression profiles in insulin target tissues in a spontaneous rat model of type 2 diabetes,' is the subject of a report. According to recent research from Oxford, the United Kingdom, "AIMS/HYPOTHESIS: MicroRNAs regulate a broad range of biological mechanisms. To investigate the relationship between microRNA expression and type 2 diabetes, we compared global microRNA expression in insulin target tissues from three inbred rat strains that differ in diabetes susceptibility."
