Investigators at Federal University Release New Data on Diabetes

2011 OCT 3 -- "Background Standard surgical procedures used for the treatment of morbid obesity constitute optional treatments for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The aim of the present study was to evaluate the short- and mid-term effects of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (SG) with ileal interposition (II) in T2DM patients (n = 30)," scientists in Belo Horizonte, Brazil report.
