Mark C. Rogers becomes chairman of oncology drug-development company

Aptamera, Inc., an oncology drug-development company with targeted aptamer therapeutics aimed at proprietary tumor cell-surface receptors, announced that Mark C. Rogers, MD, MBA, would join the company as chairman of the board of directors.

Rogers formerly held the position of CEO of Duke University Hospital and Health Network, as well as professor and associate dean of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Rogers is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences.
