Biotech company reports fourth quarter net loss of $14.3M

CancerVax Corporation (CNVX), a biotechnology company focused on the research, development and commercialization of novel biological products for the treatment and control of cancer, announced its unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2004.

For the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2004, CancerVax reported a net loss of $14.3 million, as compared to a net loss of $11.1 million for the same period in 2003. For the year ended December 31, 2004, CancerVax reported a net loss of $55.6 million, as compared to a net loss of $37.6 million for the same period in 2003.
