Lung carcinomas in Western Europe show low prevalence of human papillomaviruses

Scientists observed that lung carcinomas in Western European countries show a low prevalence of human papillomaviruses (HPV).

According to recent research from France, "High-risk HPV are largely implicated in the carcinogenesis of cervical carcinomas. Their role in bronchopulmonary carcinomas is still unclear."
