Findings from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in germ cell cancer reported

Scientists discuss in "Intrarenal pure yolk sac tumor: an extremely rare entity" new findings in germ cell cancer. According to a study from Chandigarh, India, "Yolk sac tumor (endodermal sinus tumor) is a malignant germ cell tumor that usually arises in the gonads. Extragonadal germ cell tumors are rare and have been described in case reports."

"We report a pure intrarenal yolk sac tumor in a 1-year-old boy who presented with a huge abdominal mass and was operated for suspected Wilms tumor.
