Tigris Pharmaceuticals Files IND Application for GGTI-2418

Tigris Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a privately held drug development company, announced that it has filed an Investigational New Drug (IND) application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for GGTI-2418, a novel anticancer compound. GGTI-2418 is a synthetic peptidomimetic inhibitor of geranylgeranyltransferase I (GGTase I) that appears to induce apoptosis by downregulating several pivotal oncogenic and tumor survival pathways.
