McLean Hospital at Harvard to initiate brain imaging study of secretin

Repligen Corp. (RGEN) announced a clinical trial to assess the neurological activity of secretin by functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The study is being conducted in collaboration with the Brain Imaging Center at McLean Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School.

The trial will assess the impact of a single injection of secretin or a placebo on the activity of the amygdala, a social integration center in the brain, in 12 healthy adults. Subjects will also perform facial recognition tasks to determine if a single injection of secretin affects this aspect of social awareness.
