Porphyromonas gingivalis infection linked to carotid atherosclerosis

Porphyromonas gingivalis infection is associated with carotid atherosclerosis in nonobese Japanese type 2 diabetic patients. According to recent research from Japan, "The aim of the present study was to investigate whether nonobese Japanese type 2 diabetic patients with porphyromonas gingivalis infection have atherosclerotic vascular diseases."
