Promising preclinical data published on pain therapy

Newron Pharmaceuticals, SpA, announced the publication of positive preclinical data on NW-1029, the company's lead product in its pain program. The data show that NW-1029 has potent and long-lasting antihyperalgesic and antiallodynic activity in models of chronic pain, with an excellent therapeutic index. NW-1029 was also well tolerated without signs of neurological impairment at high doses. Clinical trials have been initiated.
