Autologous stem cell transplantation can be beneficial

Enric Carreras and colleagues at the University of Barcelona Hospital Clinic conducted a "phase II trial to evaluate the feasibility and toxicity of CD34+ selected" autologous stem cell transplantation (CD34+/ASCT). Treatment with CD34+/ASCT slowed or reversed MS progression with limited toxicity, Carreras and coauthors found.
