Research from University of Heidelberg, Central Institute of Mental Health Mannheim yields new data on mental health therapy

New research, 'CREB, neurogenesis and depression,' is the subject of a report. According to a study from Germany, "The transcription factor CREB has been implicated in signalling pathways relevant for pathogenesis and therapy of depression. CREB is upregulated and activated in the hippocampus by chronic antidepressant treatment, similarly as neurogenesis."
