Researchers at Georgetown University Medical Center Publish New Data on Central Nervous System

2011 NOV 21 -- Fresh data on Central Nervous System are presented in the report "Decreased dendritic spine density and abnormal spine morphology in Fyn knockout mice." According to the authors of a study from Washington, District of Columbia, "Fyn is a Src-family tyrosine kinase that affects long term potentiation (LTP), synapse formation, and learning and memory. Fyn is also implicated in dendritic spine formation both in vitro and in vivo."
