Studies from Johns Hopkins University Yield New Information about Stem Cell Research

2011 DEC 26 -- A report, "Functional recovery after hematic administration of allogenic mesenchymal stem cells in acute ischemic stroke in rats," is newly published data in Neuroscience. According to the authors of a study from Madrid, Spain, "Hematic administration of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in acute ischemic stroke may not only be an effective reparative treatment but also a brain protective therapy that improves neurological recovery.
