New investigation results, "Community-associated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus necrotizing fasciitis in a neonate," are detailed in a study published in The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal. According to recent research published in the The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, "Neonatal necrotizing fasciitis is rare and is predominantly associated with methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA).
