Florida Governor-Elect Charlie Crist joined more than 600 supporters of the University of Miami's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at Palm Beach Gardens for a "Celebration of Vision" on December 8, dedicating a technologically advanced eye care center. Welcoming Crist were University of Miami president Donna E. Shalala, PhD; Pascal J. Goldschmidt, MD, dean of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine; and Carmen A.
