Researchers describe findings in anthrax studies

Anthrax research advances have been reported from the United States. Study 1: An edema factor-mediated cAMP-induction bioassay detects antibody-mediated neutralization of anthrax protective antigen. According to a study from the United States, "Intoxication of mammalian cells by Bacillus anthracis requires the coordinate activity of three distinct bacterial proteins: protective antigen (PA), edema factor (EF), and lethal factor (LF).
