Geron clarifies license rights for cancer vaccines

Geron Corp. (GERN) provided clarification with respect to license rights granted to third parties to develop cancer vaccines targeting telomerase. On July 15, 2005, Geron announced a worldwide, exclusive license and collaboration agreement with Merck & Co., Inc., (MRK) which includes the grant of rights to Merck to develop anticancer therapies that target telomerase utilizing Merck's vaccine platforms. The agreement also grants Merck an exclusive option to Geron's dendritic cell-based telomerase vaccine.
