Peptide drug maker completes Series C financing, adds new board member

The company also announced that Elizabeth A. Czerepak, a managing partner of BSHI, has joined Affymax's board of directors. Czerepak brings 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to Affymax. Existing investors, Apax Partners, MPM Capital and Sprout Group, also participated in the extension as well as an earlier close of this financing round. The company raised a total of $40 million from the Series C financing.
