Adverse outcomes in Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS) not associated with minority status

Adverse outcomes recorded during the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS) were not associated with minority status.

Researchers in the United States conducted a study "to determine the influence of race/ethnicity on outcomes in the CCSS. Of CCSS adult survivors in the United States, 443 (4.9%) were black, 503 (5.6%) were Hispanic and 7,821 (86.6%) were white. Mean age at interview, 26.9 years (range, 18 to 48 years); mean follow-up, 17.2 years (range, 8.7 to 28.4 years)."
