Findings from E. Estradavillasenor et al in abscess reported

According to a study from Mexico, "Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional cytokine that regulates various aspects of the immune response, such as acute phase reaction and hematopoiesis, and is an important signal that coordinates activities of liver cells, macrophages, and lymphocytes. Amoebic liver lesions have been studied, usually in hamsters, due to the problem of abscess development in mice."
