Research findings from Y. Wang et al update understanding of acne vulgaris

According to a study from the United States, "R-115866 (Rambazole (TM)) is a second-generation retinoic acid metabolism-blocking agent (RAMBA) developed for the treatment of dermatological disorders such as psoriasis and acne vulgaris. Early studies revealed that R-115866 was highly selective for cytochrome P-450 CYP26A1 (IC50 = 4 nM), which is involved in the metabolism of all-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA)."
