Lawsuit Filed in Death of Pigeon Man

A wrongful death lawsuit was filed today in the Circuit Court of Cook County (2008 L 006541) on behalf of the Estate of Joseph Zeman. Mr. Zeman, 77, fondly known on the northside of Chicago as the Pigeon Man, was killed on December 18, 2007, when a car ran over him when he was walking in a crosswalk at 3349 West Devon, the entry to the shopping center there which is anchored by a Home Depot store. The driver of the van was found guilty last Friday, June 13, 2008, in the Traffic Court of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
