Conrad Black Announces Civil Settlement with Sotheby's



July 20th, 2008

Conrad M. Black announces that he has settled a two year old civil lawsuit by his former real estate broker. The case, Sotheby's International Realty, Inc. v. Conrad M. Black, was filed in the Southern District of New York in March 2006 and scheduled for a bench trial before the Honorable Judge Gerard E. Lynch the week of June 9th. The terms of the settlement are confidential.

In the lawsuit, Black claimed that, inter alia, the United States Attorney's Office in Chicago had improperly seized the proceeds from the sale of his Park Avenue, New York City, apartment.
