Showing enthusiastic, broad-based support for the chief justice of Michigan's highest court, the Campaign to Re-elect Chief Justice Cliff Taylor reported raising more than $1.4 million since February. The campaign also showed $1.1 million on hand with no debt. Of the 1,993 contributions made through August 7th, a total of 1,906 contributions (or 96%) came from individuals. "I am tremendously humbled by the support of the men and women of our great state who believe judges should not have personal agendas and who take pride in a Court that upholds the law," Taylor said after the Secretary of State's campaign finance statement was filed.
