Suit Claims Faulty Mausoleum, Fraud by Knollwood Cemetery About Nearby Gas Well, Deteriorated Caskets

A woman who wanted to create a dignified, four-crypt granite resting place for her family and herself has sued the Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, alleging that the mausoleum it built for her is not level and crumbling, and that she was never told that the cemetery was going to drill and operate a natural gas well nearby.

Also, according to the complaint, the cemetery falsely told Josephine A. Vitale that it replaced deteriorated caskets holding the remains of her parents, who were moved from graves in Calvary Cemetery to Knollwood in October 2002, when the mausoleum was completed.
