COSE Statement on Governor Strickland's Announcement

From Steve Millard, COSE's President and Executive Director The Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) thanks Governor Strickland for his intensive efforts over the last several weeks to avoid having an onerous and damaging ballot issue placed before Ohio's voters. And, COSE applauds the Governor and Lt. Governor for their recent announcement that they will work to oppose this issue and encourage Ohioans to vote no on Issue 4.

In several other states, legislatures have blocked similar paid sick leave proposals as being wrong for their citizens and employers and anti-competitive to their states. Ohio will not be helped by this initiative -- and in fact, we can expect...
