Family Nissan Owners File Suit Against Nissan



October 5th, 2008

Family Nissan Motors, Inc., which closed its Rancho Santa Margarita auto dealership in May, has sued two Nissan corporate entities. Allegations include that the Nissan entities acted in bad faith by refusing to provide promised assistance to the dealership and then blocking its sale to qualified buyers.

In the suit, Family Nissan and its vice president and majority owner Raymond Dixon accuse Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) and Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC) of reneging on a promise made earlier this year regarding assistance to keep the business going.
