U.S. Department of Justice Awards Abt Associates Grant for Human Trafficking Study

The U.S. Department of Justice has awarded Abt Associates a $358,000 grant to complete an assessment of the current sex trafficking demand reduction strategies in place in the United States. The results of the study will inform local law enforcement and community service organizations that are operating, planning or considering implementation of such initiatives.

The Department of State estimates that each year between 600,000-800,000 men, women and children are trafficked across borders for purposes of exploitation.
