The Regional Area Initial Link TRAIL Welcomes New Legislation Key to Advancing Detroit's Woodward Transit Line

Regional business and civic leaders today welcomed news that Governor Jennifer M. Granholm has signed the state legislation necessary to advance a Woodward light rail line in Detroit. The legislation was originated by Regional Transit Coordinating Council CEO John Hertel, and championed by Governor Granholm, State Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop and Speaker of the House Andy Dillon, Detroit Mayor Ken Cockrel and Detroit Economic Growth Corporation CEO George Jackson.
