Orthopaedic surgeon Thomas C. Barber, MD, was elected Chair of the Board of Councilors (BOC)( http://www3.aaos.org/member/bdcounc/bocinfo.cfm) of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) at the 2009 Annual Meeting at the Venetian Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. He will also serve on the Academy's Board of Directors. The BOC represents the grassroots of the orthopaedic profession and explores health policy, education, research, advocacy and communications functions within the Academy.
