Donald Verger Photography

Award Winning Photographer and Museum Founder to Donate Iconic Images In Support of the Innocence Project

March 22nd, 2009

A case of mistaken identity sent Donald Verger to jail over a period of three days at the start of the New Year. Even before the charges were dismissed, Verger was compelled to turn his experience into something positive.

"We are deeply grateful to Mr. Verger for using his considerable talents to help the Innocence Project," said Audrey Levitin, Director of Development, the Innocence Project. "His photography show and fundraiser will raise awareness about the tragedy of wrongful convictions. The proceeds from the event will enable us to free the innocent and bring urgently needed reforms to the United States criminal justice system."
