Penn Ducks Roundtable on National TV Gambling Debate



April 5th, 2009

Gambling giant Penn National cancelled a debate on the nationwide Fox and Friends television program scheduled to air this morning. The debate was to focus on Penn's attempt to change the Ohio Constitution to legalize casino gambling. Penn was to square off with a spokesperson from the American Policy Roundtable, headquartered in Ohio.

"We are not surprised," stated Rob Walgate, Vice-President of the Roundtable. "Since 1990 the gambling industry has lost every televised and public debate on this subject. They have spent nearly $100 million dollars and they lose every time."
